About us
Coffee rooted in Uganda.
Nyamirima Mutegaya Cooperative Society was registered in 1961 and is based in Ibanda, Western Uganda. Today, the cooperative brings together 1,046 smallholder farmers, with women representing about 30% of membership.
The fly crop is harvested from October to January, followed by the main harvest from March to July. Together, our members grow both Arabica and Robusta coffee under diversified shade-grown agroforestry systems.

Farmer training
Practical training in agronomic practices helps members improve farm management, crop quality and livelihoods.
Coffee seedlings
We provide quality coffee seedlings that support productive farms and stronger coffee quality over time.
Coffee workshops
Workshops bring members together to share practical knowledge about cultivation, handling and coffee quality.
Storage and drying
Central warehousing, drying tables and solar drying systems support cleaner handling and better preparation.
Collection and transport
The cooperative uses its own truck to collect coffee from members and move processed coffee onward to Kampala.

Nyamirima is scaling as an independent, export-oriented cooperative while keeping its farmer-owned structure, sustainability model and member services at the centre.
